What do Lnug Think!?
Lnug Nationality Registration
P'jalasi,
The process of Lnug Nationality is an intricate one. Lnug Nationality is reserved exclusively for those, whose biological lineage is of the Lnug people, & whose dedications & loyalties are to the Lnug Nation. These determinations are not easy to make, thus the Mawiomi requires a significant amount of information that is kept completely confidential from all other agencies & organizations. The determination of Nationality begins with an application. Registration acceptance is based on:
-
Familial Lineage
-
Lnug Language proficiency
-
Comprehension of Lnug heritage
-
The Practice of Lnug culture

Once Lnug Nationality is established, a Lnug National is granted the right to participate in all Lnug elections, is eligible to run for any Mawiomi position. Vote in public plebiscites & is granted any and all rights issued under treaty, by any and all foreign governments. The Lnug are not as yet recognized by the government of Canada.
There are roughly 78,000 eligible Lnug Nationals, and one way to become a citizen!

Kwé,
Mr. Brooks-Lnug is an anthropologist from York University in Toronto. He hails from the Brooks family of Preston (Kopit Ospem) in Miꞌkmaꞌki. He has privately taught both indigenous & African history while having been invited to speak on these topics at York University, Ryerson University, & Mount Royal University.
He is a proud Lnug who continues to learn Lnuismk. In addition to this site Mr. Brooks-Lnug is working on a series of children's books to serve as Lnuismk educational aids for parents.
This work is a passion project which aims to be the most comprehensive, honest and thorough educational expression of the Lnu people ever composed & is opposed to the inspiration of an antagonistic experience from any of the content found here. Genuine discussion & debate with the earnest intent of securing the truth is welcome. While aggression is fiercely refused. Your respectful comment is pjila'si. Mr. Brooks-Lnug currently resides with his family in Calgary. If you wish to contact or donate to this initiative & further the growth of this site or similar works you can send e-transfers, or emails to PLnugNationalCouncil@proton.me.
This work is dedicated to my children Nukumi, Jigonsaseh, Iren & especially Lyric so that they might always know to which nation & heritage they belong.
Wela'lin.
Meni, K. Brooks-Lnug
